Shopping

Shopping in Kailua is unique and enjoyable. You will find is a multitude of one of a kind shops specializing in island treasures of all sorts and all prices.   The entire downtown area of Kailua is small, so you won’t wear yourself out visiting the shops, but you might want to wear comfortable shoes on this outing. If you are driving, you can park in the town center behind the Shops at Lau Hala, Target or Longs and easily reach all the stores and establishments.

From there you can go in any direction from there to find shops and restaurants, cookies, ice cream and shave ice. There are grocery stores, banks, a post office, dive shops and an emergency medical office.   When in doubt stop at our visitors center to check with our volunteers who all live in Kailua and can give great advice.

It is easy to find whatever you need in this historic town of Kailua.  Kailua is filled with "mom-and-pop" stores that are unique to Kailua.  Relax. Enjoy!
